Bob Walpert is president and chief executive officer of Walpert Properties. He began his real estate career in 1979, concentrating on retail leasing, development, and commercial brokerage. Along with four other individuals, Bob formed Midland Group in 1983. He handled retail leasing and brokerage while expanding into acquisition, syndication, management, renovation, and the development of neighborhood and regional shopping centers.
In 1989 Bob formed Walpert Properties and has since steered it through phenomenal growth and expansion into all facets of the commercial real estate business. Today, Walpert Properties consists of 40 outstanding individuals and a portfolio of over 110 retail shopping centers located in 14 states and consisting of over six million square feet.
Bob currently serves on the board of The Wellness Community, a national not-for-profit organization whose mission is to help people with cancer. He is active in the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, serves on the Advisory Board for Frontenac Bank, and devotes countless hours to other community and charitable endeavors.
